Kindergarten through 2nd Grade Gym:
This year we will be focused on activities such as jumping jacks and sit-ups, tumbling, wiffle ball, kick ball, basketball, coordination drills and exercises, and more. Each gym class will include stretching, a skill time, and a game time.
3rd through 4th Grade Gym:
This year game rules and skills will be taught for basketball, volleyball, wiffle ball, kick ball, and hockey. Other activities will include relay races, obstacle courcses, jumping rope, ping pong, and more.
5th through 6th Grade Girls Gym:
Intramural volleyball is our main objective for this year. Girls will be taught volleyball basics such as rules, bumping, setting, serving, rotation, and team play.
5th through 6th Grade Boys Gym:
Intramural basketball will be the main objective for this year. Boys will learn basic basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, free-throws, coordination, and team play.
7th through 12th Grade Girls Gym:
Intramural volleyball is our main objective for this year. Girls will be taught volleyball basics such as rules, bumping, setting, serving, rotation, and team play.
7th through 12th Grade Boys Gym:
Intramural basketball will be the main objective for this year. Boys will learn basic basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, free-throws, coordination, and team play.
Chapel
Starting off the school days is our chapel. This is a time for our Pastor, Dr. Daniel Haifley, to share a short challenge from the Bible. It also gives us a forum to give announcements to the whole student body.
Basic Skills
This class will review basic math, phonics, and hand eye coordination skills. They will review such skills as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, telling time, counting money and so much more.
Kindergarten Sign Language
They will be learning simple conversational signs.
Spanish
Students will develop a beginner vocabulary of Spanish.
Kindergarten Reading
Instructor will be reading age appropriate literature.
Kindergarten Memory Work
Students will be memorizing Scripture verses.
Creative Writing / Literature
We will be continuing our study of Excellence in Writing and exploring literacy themes.
Geography
Students will be learning to locate and identify different regions and countries around the World. They will also be investigating the 70 countries without missionaries.
Periodical Desktop Publishing
Students will be creating a bimonthly school paper called Up Grade. Articles will be written in Creative Writing. The class will focus on layout design.
Art
This year the student will be using Art with a Purpose Here are some of the skills they will be learning.
